Jersey Mike’s was founded in 1956 in a storefront location originally called Mike’s Subs. Mike opened the small shop in the seaside town of Point Pleasant, New Jersey. In 1971 current CEO Peter Cancro was a high school student working in the original location,fast forward to today, Cancro oversees more than 2,185 locations open and under development. Today, their authentic taste of a submarine sandwich is what keeps customers coming back and helping the company succeed.
